Very Personal Video About My Dad

I know it’s been several weeks since I’ve written – but if you’ve read my last 2 emails, you already know that my father made his Earthly “farewell” recently — and I’ve been in Indiana to be with my family through this huge and important transition.

And honestly, I’ve struggled with what to write in this first newsletter back . . .

How do I BEGIN to capture such a monumental, life-changing, intense AND beautiful experience like this in words?

It’s tough to know where to start.

So just to get the “Unstoppable” ball rollin’ again, I decided to give you a lil’ window into the experience with my father, and share some pictures and the video of the special poem I wrote (and read) at his huge “Celebration of Life” party:

(It’s a bit silly. It’s a bit serious = Just like my Dad.)

You see, my Dad and I were 2 peas in a pod. We had almost IDENTICAL life goals. We loved the same book, the same philosophical topics, the innate goodness of people… and most especially, we both loved COFFEE! *wink*Simply put: the love I have for my Dad is . . . well . . . off the CHARTS!

My adorable Mom & Dad

And to get the blessed opportunity to be with him for days on end — never leaving his side thru even his last breath, and supporting him through the most monumental moment of his life (and mine) — is the most precious and priceless experience imaginable.

It was like being submersed in a sea of intensity 10,000 times stronger than all the love on the planet, combined.

And the “magical” things that took place before, during and after his departure brought me more comfort, and touched me more deeply, than any words could ever express…

From the premonition dream 2 months before – to the visions, voices, musical messages, hysterical coincidences, and roadside billboards plastered with words from beyond – every moment simply confirmed my beliefs:

That my Dad and I are ALWAYS connected. To infinitely, and beyond…

(The same goes for you and your loved ones, too.)

It also reminded me, once again, not to take life so darn seriously. And to have TONS more fun along the way. Because 1 day you and I will leave this temporary playground and head back to our TRUE home.

…And let me tell you: when that day comes, it’s one SERIOUS AWESOME CELEBRATION!!!!!

I’ve felt it first-hand. Heard it. Touched it.

So may this note (and video poem) remind YOU to cut yourself some slack, loosen up, dance like a crazy person, and make a fool of yourself more regularly.

At Dad’s Celebration, we had over 15 tables, each with centerpieces with one of Dad’s favorite things. This one shows his love of model airplanes and flying.

This centerpiece highlights Dad’s distinguished career as an electrical engineer at AT+T/Bell Labs.

This is the “Halloween” table…Dad and I LOOOOVE Halloween!

Take bigger risks. Dream bigger. Play bigger. Love bolder. And shout your beautiful truth from each and every mountaintop!

Just for the FUN of it.

Cause at the end of the day, none of it really matters all that very much.

Love is the only thing left once this wild party ends…

And death? Well, it’s not all it’s been cracked up to be. It doesn’t have to be the sad, depressing, sorrowful sinkhole that we’ve been taught. From my first-hand experience, there is no “death”. No loss. No leaving.

In fact — it’s quite the opposite!

You get pure access – 24-7 – without all the human baggage of long-distance fees, frequent flier miles, personality conflicts or time zone differences. You get THEM – without their limiting beliefs. Without their baggage. Without physical challenges or ailments.

And when sorrow’s not in the way, you start to see the signs everywhere… reminding you of their eternal love, connection, devotion (and sense of humor!)

But you’ll miss it ALL if your blues get in the way…

Oh sure, the human body shifts. Changes. “Appears” to disappear. But the essence of who we are lives on.

And it can be touched, heard and felt when there’s no gray skies clouding up the sun.

Without our limiting beliefs in the way, death is simply a continuation of love – gushy, gooey, giddy LOOOOOOVE!

I only hope that YOU get to experience that kind of intimacy and heart when someone you adore takes their final bow. Because to me, it’s the most sacred, special moment of any Soul’s journey…

To be present during that magical milestone can actually be more precious than any BIRTH.

And that should be cause for CELEBRATION! (Not sorrow.)

Dad was always there to catch me when I’d fall…

Dad was always my support that STILL lifts me higher.

Best of all, Dad taught me to fly HIGH!

So thanks for letting me share a bit of this very important, and personal moment, with you… Because if we can learn to stop fearing death so much, then we get to stop fearing LIFE so much, too.

And that makes for a pretty darn Unstoppable ride!

Sending SO much love and gratitude for being a part of my online family…

XOXO
