I was at least 10 blocks into my hike this afternoon, and was noticing that nothing wonderfully-weird had happened yet. (Which is NOT acceptable!!!) I usually have some sort of “coincidence” or array of symbols spelling out a story, message or answer to a question that I’ve posed. That may sound far-out to some, but now it’s my “norm”.

So I asked the Universe: “Um… hey guys, where’s my miracles today? — I need to feel some LOVE!!!” That’s when Taylor Dayne starts singing “Tell it to my Heart”. And just as she says: “…as long as I receive the message you’re sending” — a GIANT butter-yellow butterfly (a delicate round-winged type I’ve never seen before) swoops right in front of my face, and then off to the left. (I associate yellow butterflies with messages from my Dad, FYI.)

I keep walking, but get a STRONG gut feeling to turn around and look for that butterfly again… Scanning the yard in front of me, I spot the yellow butterfly… only to do a double-take — realizing that it’s sitting right in the middle of a HUGE bush that’s been carved into a giant HEART…

It starts to fly around, and I see that the ENTIRE yard is filled with smaller shrubs all carved into hearts, too. And just as I start to giggle out loud, 2 beautiful monarch butterflies (that I associate with “LOVE”) come out of nowhere — dancing together, connected and twirling — and of course land right in the middle of that same darn heart-bush…

(Note: those were the ONLY 3 butterflies I saw for the next 2 hours of my hike…)

Sure. It could be nothing. But it made me smile, nonetheless. I spot sweet symbols like this all the time — corresponding like magic to my thoughts, questions, or moments when I’m just needing to feel connected to something greater…

Most of my other wild moments aren’t worth sharing. (They’re so deeply personal, that I doubt most people would care too much about those types of super-specific symbols…) But needless to say, there were so many more “magic-moments” after the butterflies that I had FIVE stop-in-my-tracks, laugh-out-loud, giggle-fits over the absurdities happening all around me (the butterflies were the blandest of the bunch…)

I’ve been blessed with more than my fair share of miraculous moments — especially over the past day or two for some reason… So I just thought I’d share, in the hopes that one of you might start to open your eyes up to the synchronicities and symbols and patterns happening everywhere around you… I find it deeply comforting — and it helps me know that I’m on the right track, and that I’m most definitely NEVER ever alone.

Life’s a tough, befuddling and bumpy road sometimes — but those miraculous moments make everything a little bit sweeter… at least for me.
